RESTAURANT INDUSTRY PLEADS WITH THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY 50 PERCENT OF RENT

Five U.K. trade bodies have recently issued a joint statement to the government to help solve the rent crisis, otherwise the current crisis will ruin the restaurant industry.
They have asked the government to launch a “Property Bounceback Grant” — where the government pays half of owed rent for a period of six month to ease negotiations, and stop the current stand-off, between landlords and tenants across the hospitality, retail, and leisure sectors.
