GIANT SUPERMARKET SAINSBURY'S TO CUT 3500 JOBS AND CLOSE FOOD COUNTERS

Sainsbury’s has announced it will cut around 3500 jobs from its workforce as part of its new model that aims at creating a single integrated supply chain and logistics network across Sainsbury’s and Argos.

Around 150 Argos standalone stores will be moved in to Sainsbury's.  As part of the closures of its Argos stores and food counters, Sainsbury’s said it could cut around 3500 people from its workforce.
